The oils and moisture on your fingers will, over time, damage the banknotes and render them worthless. Another crucial point is to avoid storing your collection in places where there is humidity or extreme temperatures. They should be kept in a dark, cool, and dry environment — not exceeding 23°C. Avoid basements and attics, as temperature fluctuations and humidity can occur — a banknote’s worst enemy!
